Cola for retirees is currently 3.6% for CSRS retirees 2.6% for FERS retirees and 3.6% for social Security. Political Director Kevin Montgomery discussed a new bill in congress HR 2309. This bill would destroy the Postal Service and we need every carrier to contact their member of congress and ask that they vote NO on HR 2309. the NALC supports the language in HR 1351 and that bill would save the Postal Service and help maintain your jobs. President Kenny Montgomery stated we are still looking for a new building to house our union hall. We are interested in a building large enough to hold union meetings and steward training in as well. Any ideas or tips contact the union office at 427-2450. FSS reviews are now being conducted. We will be conducting the MDA raffle again in December. for a $5 ticket see any steward. The branch was assisting National in a petition drive to help save Saturday delivery. We were able to collect over 3000 signatures however it fell short of the 9000 that Nationally we were looking to get for our branch.
