 CONGRATULATIONS VENANCIO! 

The meeting was called to order by President Art Muoio at 7:00pm. A motion to dispense with the reading of the previous meeting minutes was made and passed.    

Norm LeFrois spoke on the the N.A.L.C Health Plan. After the close of open season the Union's Health plan increased it's membership by 7000 people. Norm also spoke briefly on the Maturity Income policy offered by the Union's MBA department. This policy is an excellent way to help supplement your retirement, you can make deposits through payroll deduction and the policy can be set up as a Roth or Traditional IRA. For further information on this policy or any other insurance offered contact Norm at 334-2076

The release of the latest consumer price index shows no increase in the cost of living, therefore there is no accumulation towards the next Cost of Living (COLA).

The branch has been notified of elections for union steward in the following delivery zones covered by Branch 210. 14604, 14606, 14616, 14620, 14623 and Wayland. All ballots went out on January 7, 2010 and will be counted at the end of the day on January 28, 2010.

It is combined Federal Campaign time again and the Postal Relief Fund is #10268

The penalty exclusion period for this year has ended. Penalty time or V-Time is now back in force.

The MDA raffle for December raised $2887 for Muscular Dystrophy. the Branch will hold the raffle again in June 2010. To see a list of winners for December click here.

Vacation Bids for 2010 should be complete. Please notify the Union Office if there were any problems with vacation bids.

There is a new route Bids schedule for the city of Rochester. This new schedule should be posted on your bulletin boards. This year bids will open on Friday and close 10 days later on a Monday. The first bid will open on January 15, 2010 and close on January 25, 2010. Click her to see the Bids Page for current bids in the City of Rochester.

The officers would like to thank the following stewards that are not seeking re-election at this time. All 4 have done great work for the members. Marie Nguyen in Rochester 14616, Ryan Williams Rochester 14620, Tim Wallace Rochester 14624 and Jamie Swann Newark.

With Jamie Swann stepping down Justin Quade has offered to become the new steward in Newark. With Tim Wallace stepping down bob Lintz has agreed to become the steward in Rochester 14624. We welcome Justin and Bob as steward and look forward to working with them in the future, they will both work hard for the members. The vacancies in 14620 and 14616 elections are currently under way.

The next Union meeting is scheduled for Wednesday February 3, 2010 at 7:00pm and will be held at the Valencia's Restaurant which is located on Long Pond Road in Gates.

And finally I would like to invite more members to Union meetings to learn what is happening with your Union.
