The meeting was called to order by President Art Muoio at 7:00pm. A motion to dispense with the reading of the previous meeting minutes was made and passed.

The accumulation toward the next Cost of Living Allowance is $633 and is payable in September 2008.

Greg Karalias read the membership report and we had 5 applications for membership this month. Greg went on to explain the importance of keeping your membership into retirement, it only costs $2 per month and we help retirees with different aspect of retirement, health benefits as well as offering helping your spouse or yourself should there be a death.

Our Secretary Tony Polidori reported on Political Education, voter registration is vital now if you plan to vote in the general election for President this fall. The National Union has not yet endorsed either candidate however if you don't vote your voice is not heard. No matter who you vote for in November it is important that you DO VOTE!!!

The AFL-CIO has asked Branch 210 to boycott the Rochester Plaza Hotel in Rochester as they have an ongoing labor dispute. The Rochester Plaza is the old Crown Plaza. The Labor Council then reported on the ceremony on April 28, 2008 honoring workers memorial day. This is the day we honor those workers that paid the ultimate price for their efforts and lost their lives while on the job.

The Branch will again be running the MDA Raffle for the Month of June 2008. See the web site in July for a list of winners. Stewards will also have a list of winners after the July meeting.

The National Office has notified us that due to the National convention in July grievance time limits are automatically waived.

The letter Carriers in Avon NY have requested to merge with Branch 210. The merger was voted on at the Union meeting unanimously to accept and to date the National Office has accepted the merger therefore Avon NY is now part of NALC Branch 210.

This years Darien Lake picnic will be held on July 6, 2008. Prices are $13.00 per member, Spouse and dependant child. All others are considered guests and are $26.00. Guests are adult children, parents, grand-parents, Grand-Children, cousins, neighbors, friends, strangers on the street and anyone else you can think of. See your Union Steward now to arrange for tickets or come to the Union hall to purchase tickets. Deadline for tickets is June 27, 2008

As per the By-Laws of Branch 210 the Union meetings for July, August and September are executive Board meetings and are for Officers and Stewards. Regular membership meetings will resume in October 2008.

The next Union meeting is an executive board meeting and is for Stewards and Officers only. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday July 2, 2008 at 7:00pm and will be held at the Wishing Well which is located on Chili Ave in Gates.

And finally I would like to invite more members to Union meetings to learn what is happening with your Union.
