The meeting was called to order by President Art Muoio at 7:00pm. A motion to dispense with the reading of the previous meeting minutes was made and passed.

Norm LeFrois spoke on the disability insurance policy offered by L&M Financial in Buffalo. For information and rates on this disability policy contact Fred Hunt at L&M 1-800-326-8410.

The release of the latest consumer price index shows no increase in the cost of living, therefore there is no accumulation towards the next Cost of Living (COLA).

Walt Simoni gave the Labor Council report and notified the membership that he has been re-elected to the financial officer position of the labor council. Kevin Montgomery has been elected to the cope chairman of the Labor Council.

National notified the branch that there was an error in the Postal Service computers concerning the recent .39 dues increase. the dues increase did not go through for 56,000 NALC members nationwide. The error is expected to be corrected and an adjustment made by pay period 3.

The Branch will hold the raffle again in June 2010.See your steward in April for the $5.00 tickets.

Vacation Bids for 2010 are complete. Please notify the Union Office if there were any problems with vacation bids.

The carriers in Penn Yan Branch 681 have voted unanimously to merge with Branch 210. there will be a vote of Branch 210 members at the March 2010 meeting. Branch 210 will be the surviving branch of the merger.

The Branch 210 annual picnic will be held at Darien Lake July 12, 2010. The officers will be reviewing the finances of the Branch and determine the prices of the tickets and will let the membership know as soon as possible.

President Art Muoio has appointed Greg Karalias as the safety rep for the Eastern Area in Pittsburgh. Greg will be representing the carriers on this committee.

The results of the recent steward elections have resulted in new stewards in Midtown 14604 Frank Deil, Greece 14616 Jerry Tumia, GMF 14620 Nancy Fenti, GMF 14623 Stacy McManus. We welcome these new stewards and will help them transition into their new positions.

The next Union meeting is scheduled for Wednesday March 3, 2010 at 7:00pm and will be held at the Valencia's Restaurant which is located on Long Pond Road in Gates.

And finally I would like to invite more members to Union meetings to learn what is happening with your Union.
